In February, 2005 I was walking across the street toward Lawton’s Drug Store in downtown Darmouth when I encountered a patch of ice on the sidewalk and went airborne. A day later I am in Dartmouth General Hospital having surgery on my ankle to insert plates and screws and then a cast for the next 9 weeks. When the cast was removed I should have been well on my way to recovery with some physiotherapy. Once the cast was removed, I completed 13 weeks of physiotherapy and for the next 5 months was in constant pain and had very limited mobility. For the next two years I would have three more sessions of physiotherapy and was still in constant pain, extreme swelling and very limited mobility. In March of 2008 an acquaintance noticed that I was limping and mentioned that she had had great success with a foot problem at the Alderney Chiropractic Clinic and that I should try it. With increasing lack of mobility and constant swelling, I took her advice and the rest is all great news. I completed 3 months of laser treatments along with chiropractic adjustments. The most noticeable success with the laser treatments was the swelling and pain continually decreasing and my mobility increasing with every session. Today, I have very little pain and swelling and I have my mobility back. I am walking every day, back to a regular exercise program and enjoying my busy life being back on track once again. I would recommend the laser treatment to anyone who is suffering with unwanted pain.
